Project Change Request
The change request is essential in project management. The change request may come from internal processes or internal and external stakeholders. The change request includes corrective action, preventive action, defect repair, or updating any documents to reflect modified or new content. If changes will not be affected the baseline, then they can be approved by the project manager. Changes that will affect the project baselines (mainly on scope, time, and cost) those changes can be approved by a change control board (CCB) if they exist, otherwise by the project sponsor. The authority of the change control board (CCB) includes reviewing, evaluating, approving, rejecting, or deferring changes, recording in the changelog, and communicating such decisions to the relevant stakeholders. Read more about the change control board (CCB).
